Regular eye tests are crucial for monitoring your overall health and maintaining optimal vision. We recommend scheduling an eye test every two years. However, children and individuals with existing eye conditions may require more frequent visits.

CHILDREN'S EYE TESTS

Children’s eye tests are free up to age 16, and up to age 18 if they remain in full-time education.

PRIVATE REFERAL
Trusted Ophthalmologist Referrals.
At Aristone Optical, we collaborate with carefully selected ophthalmologists from Western Eye Hospital on Baker Street and Moorfields Eye Hospital. If you need a prompt referral and the NHS system cannot accommodate you quickly, we can utilize these pathways to ensure you receive timely care. We are committed to advising you thoroughly and explaining all available options.

NHS
NHS Entitlements for Sight Tests and Optical Vouchers
If you are aged 60 or over, under 16, or 18 and in full-time education, you are eligible for an NHS-funded sight test.
Additionally, if you receive benefits such as Universal Credit, Jobseeker's Allowance, Pension Credit, Working Tax Credits, or are named on a HC2/HC3 certificate, you will also receive an Optical Voucher to help with the cost of your glasses. The value of the voucher will vary based on your prescription.
