SERVICES AT ARISTONE
Each examination is tailored specifically to an individual, and no eye test is ever the same! Eye tests are an important way of monitoring your general health and maintaining your vision. We recommend an eye test every two years. Children and people with an eye condition may need to be seen more often. Click below to request an appointment.
Contact lenses offer a life-changing alternative to glasses. The advance in technology now allows several ways to correct your vision. Whether you have astigmatism or need both a distance and reading correction, we'll find a lens to suit your needs.
We also keep a variety of lenses in stock so if you've run out, we might be able to help you straight away.
SAME DAY SERVICE
At Aristone Optical, we understand how frustrating it can be when you break your glasses, or need to get a new pair urgently. That’s why we have an onsite lab along with an extensive selection of prescription lenses and frames to choose from. We strive to provide the best service possible and are available to answer any questions you may have.
CHILDREN'S EYE TESTS
Children’s eye test is free up to the ages of 16, and 18 if thy remain in full time education.
It’s very important that children’s eyes are tested on a regular basis, even if you have no concerns. At Aristone we offer various lens technologies that can slow down the progression of prescription and keep your child’s sight in perfect condition for the future.
At Aristone we work with a few meticulous selected Ophthalmologists based at Western Eye Hospital - Baker Street and Moorefield’s eye hospital. If you ever need to be referred in a hurry and the NHS system is unable to see you as quickly as you’d like these pathways can be used. We will always advise you accordingly and explain all options that are available to you.
IF you are aged 60 or over, under 16 or 18 and in full time education you are automatically entitled to a NHS funded sight test.
If you receive benefits such as Universal Credit, Jobseekers Allowance, Pension Credit, Working Tax Credits or are named on a HC2/HC3 certificate you will also receive an Optical Voucher towards the cost of your glasses. The value will vary on your prescription.
