What is Orthokeratology?
Orthokeratology uses specially designed rigid gas permeable contact lenses worn overnight to gently reshape the cornea. The lenses apply a slight, controlled pressure that temporarily flattens the central cornea by less than half the width of a human hair. That small change is enough to redirect light so it focuses correctly on the retina rather than in front of it, which is what causes short-sightedness.
By morning, you simply remove them and see clearly throughout the day with no glasses or contact lenses needed.
